Welcome to the second Mushroom hike i am hosting! I have another place of shroom potential in mind. Newcomers and people who showed up last time are both welcome! Last time we found some karl johan and plenty other mushrooms but no chanterelles, this time we shall go into a deeper area with far greater chance of chanterelles and still good chances of karl johan. I will be sharing what i know about mushrooms, especially karl johan (boletus edulis) and chanterelles as those are good beginner edible shrooms but hopefully you are like me and want to see mushrooms of varying kinds regardless of edibility! I have lots to say about other mushrooms too and i hope we can all have a fun and educational time. Place and Time: We will officially meet at Orhem bus station 10:30 but i and many others will likely take the180 bus at 10:18 from Skarpnäck (right outside the metro) and see each other there. CAUTION bus 180 only goes once every hour so I would advise being a bit early if bus is your travel method. We will be casually walking through the forest, stop somewhere to eat and drink at a nice vantage point, walk a bit more and then start returning to Orhem bus station when we start feeling done, probably after 2-3 hours or so. Bring food, drink, watertight shoes/boots and optional wicker basket if you want to pick shrooms! Hope to see you there!
